Born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas, Robert obtained his undergraduate degree in Agribusiness Management-Operations from Texas State University and his Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School, where he graduated with honors.

Vermont Supreme Court // IP Litigator // Entrepreneur

Robert's passion for the law led him to work as a judicial extern for the Vermont Supreme Court and litigator for a Los Angeles-based intellectual property litigation boutique, where he gained invaluable insights into the workings of the legal system. Soon thereafter, Robert returned to Texas, where he helped grow a commercial screen-printing business and clothing label with his childhood friend.

Cenkus Law // Business Attorney

Working alongside Brett Cenkus, Robert helped build Cenkus Law in Austin, Texas and established a reputation as a skilled and knowledgeable business attorney, with a deep understanding and practical view of the complex frameworks that govern modern commerce. He’s represented a wide variety of clients, from small startups to multinational corporations, and successfully resolved numerous high-stakes disputes and legal challenges.

Family

Robert and his wife, an art professor at Stephen F. Austin State University, now live on a small farm in Appleby, where they raise livestock, try to get their dogs to behave, and work on creative projects together.

Music

In addition to the law, Robert's been a dedicated working, recording, and touring musician since 2006. His music is featured on various films, television shows, and advertisements and accumulated millions of plays on digital streaming platforms. He’s toured extensively domestically and internationally and received praise from numerous media outlets, including Pitchfork, Stereogum, Paste, and Fader, among others.
